Getting Started
Taking the IQ test is simple. Click "Start IQ Test" from any page, select your gender on the first screen, and you'll be guided through a series of cognitive questions. The test adapts to your performance level, taking approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. You'll receive your IQ score and detailed results immediately upon completion.
Every IQ test shows your score range for free right after you finish, with your strongest abilities and your place on the bell curve. The full result is one payment with no subscription: your exact IQ score, percentile, skill breakdown, in-depth analysis and a downloadable PDF certificate.
The IQ test is designed to be completed in 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. The test adapts its difficulty based on your answers, so there's no fixed question count. You can take breaks during the test if needed, and your progress is saved automatically. For optimal results, we recommend completing the test in one sitting in a quiet, focused environment.
No account is needed. Choose a test, select your gender and start answering. Your score range appears right after the last question, with no registration and no email. Your exact score, full report and certificate are one optional payment.
Account & Access

Yes, you can retake any test as many times as you like at no cost. Each attempt generates a fresh set of questions to ensure accurate results. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours between retakes for the most reliable measurement of your cognitive abilities.
THEIQTESTS.COM has several IQ tests: the classic IQ test; a quick, a standard and a full IQ test; tests in the style of Mensa, Stanford-Binet, WAIS, CHC and Wonderlic; and a MoCA-style cognitive screening. Every IQ test is free to take. Your exact score and full report are one payment, no subscription, and that payment also opens the membersβ library with 36 more tests.
Tests & Results
Your IQ score is calculated using the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale methodology, a gold-standard approach used by cognitive psychologists worldwide. Your raw responses are analyzed across multiple cognitive domains: logical reasoning, pattern recognition, spatial visualization, verbal comprehension, and processing speed. We then normalize your performance against millions of test-takers in your age and demographic group to produce a score with a mean of 100 and standard deviation of 15.
Yes, you can retake the test anytime. However, we recommend waiting at least 2-3 weeks between attempts to minimize practice effects and get the most accurate results. Each retake is fully adaptive and generates a new score based on your current performance. Your previous scores are kept in your history for comparison, allowing you to track improvements over time.
The certificate is part of the full result (one payment, no subscription): a downloadable PDF with your IQ score, percentile ranking, test date and cognitive skill breakdown, under the THEIQTESTS.COM name. You can share it professionally or personally as a record of the test you took online; it is not a clinical assessment.
Small score variations (10-15 points) between tests are normal due to factors like fatigue, concentration level, and test anxiety. However, each test is independently scored using the same methodology, so your true cognitive ability should stabilize over multiple attempts. If you see consistent improvements, it reflects genuine growth from practice and cognitive training. Larger variations (20+ points) may indicate environmental factors affecting your focus during the test.
